Sherry Kropp, Andrew Pulver, Ondrea Reed, and Tina Dingillo were also present. Angelyka Chaviano-Montes joined the meeting at 6:30p.m.

All information is stored and may be accessed by counselors and parents in order to support the guidance process. What: Agreement with ConvergeOne, Inc. to assist in network security, unified communications, and network support as needed When: September 26, 2018 through June 30, 2019 Where: Districtwide Why: With the large number of projects and new security systems we have deployed, the Information Technology Department’s goal is to implement projects within a reasonable time to benefit instruction and safety. ConvergeOne is a Microsoft and Cisco Partner who will provide resources and safety recommendations to our District in resolving issues and implementing projects successfully. ConvergeOne would be available to our District as technology issues arise and to assist with security solutions. Cost: Not to exceed $10,000. To be paid from the Technology budget.

What: Ratification of an agreement with MakeMusic, Inc. for the online SmartMusic Software Where: Los Alamitos High School When: August 16, 2018 through August 15, 2019 Why: This amendment adds a teacher account and 38 student subscriptions to be used by the Jazz Band and Orchestra. SmartMusic is an interactive practice software that the Los Alamitos High School Band will use to provide tools for students to improve their skills. The SmartMusic Software will allow for review and critique of student work once they have uploaded and recorded it through the program. The LAHS Band Boosters will continue to assist supporting the cost of the maintenance agreement. Cost: Not to exceed $4,187.00. To be paid from the Site Donation Fund.

This agreement will provide the ability to purchase data communication products and services across our District. The District staff has negotiated prices for purchase and warranty of hardware, installation, maintenance and services that are competitive and fair and has determined that this California Participating Addendum contract is the most economical means for providing Palo Alto Networks products and solutions to the District. Mrs. Karen Russell discussed attending the State of the District and thanked the Los Alamitos Education Foundation (LAEF).
Mrs. Meg Cutuli reported her attendance at the community meeting that was held at the McGaugh Auditorium which was very informative.
Mrs. Cutuli discussed attending the Back-to-School Night at the high school, the Los Al Chamber Breakfast, and an ROP Meeting.
Mrs. Cutuli also reported her attendance at the State of the District, Leisure World Expo and the Seal Beach City District Working Group Meeting. Mrs. Cutuli also attended the PTA Council Meeting and her granddaughter's JV volleyball game.
Mrs. Russell wanted to also add she attended the monthly SELPA meeting where Kathy Thomason, Business Manager, was recognized as Employee of the Year.
Mrs. Diana Hill reported her attendance at the Los Alamitos High School's Back-to-School Night, the Start with Hello event at the high school, and Eric Bowman’s funeral. Mrs. Hill also discussed attending the September 11 flag ceremony at McGaugh.
Mrs. Hill discussed attending the meeting at McGaugh where Dr. Kropp fielded questions.
Mrs. Hill also attended the parent night at the high school about Vaping and Cyber Safety.
Dr. Barke thanked those who spoke at the Board Meeting and is looking forward to doing the work that is necessary to move forward.
Dr. Barke reported his attendance at the State of the District, the High School's Back-to-School Night, Los Alamitos Chamber Breakfast and Leisure World's Expo.
